Ararat via Smythesdale and Skipton

Today I headed to Ararat, taking the “scenic route”.  The weather was extremely variable, changing constantly from wet to sunny and back again.

This sculpture depicts a Chinese miner arrested for not having a residence ticket, and his wife and child. The buildings are a gaol and stables. Smythesdale.
