Can Tho to Saigon

28 June

Today I took the bus back to Saigon, and went to a show at the Saigon Opera House.  It is a show aimed at tourists, and it is what you might image would be the result if someone who had only ever been exposed to Vietnamese traditional theatre decided to do a modern show for western people, and in order to work out what western people like they went to Cirque du Soleil.  It was a fabulous show, with some very talented performers.

I was feeling a bit grumpy and tired from all the travelling, so was not much in the mood for taking photographs.

Pho and iced coffee for breakfast at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant.
My breakfast view.
The hotel in Saigon had a lovely window seat where I could relax, and today I could also watch workmen welding on top of an eight storey building with no protective gear.
