I did a workshop on glass plate making with Jenie Yolland. It was an enjoyable afternoon and I was very pleased with the finished result. The plate is made by cutting and piecing together the glass pieces, which are then finished in a kiln for you to pick up later.

I took part in a workshop on botanical Dyeing with Petal Plum at Think Thornbury. It was a great day and really interesting to see the way the different dyes work, and the way different leaves, flowers and additives could create a huge range of colours.

McAlpin Reserve
McAlpin Reserve is a small reserve in North Ringwood. It has a lake, playground and BBQs, and was very popular with dog walkers while I was there. It would be very easy to never notice this reserve, as it is tucked away from the road.

Cardinia Reservoir Park
Today’s weather was cooler, but very humid with a smoke haze covering everything. I visited Cardinia Reservoir Park, and walked from Crystal Brook Picnic area to Duffey’s Lookout picnic area and back. It was only 600m each way, but was fairly steep uphill to start with.
